"If one wants to be active, one must not be afraid of going wrong, one must not be afraid of making mistakes now and then. Many people think that they will become good just by doing no harm -- but that's a lie.... That way lies stagnation, mediocrity." ~Vincent van Gogh
I am trying to make my image a bit more professional-looking. I was pretty young when I set up this account, I hate my username with a passion (and don't particularly want to get core membership to change it) and besides, it's cluttered with a bunch of old artwork that I don't have the patience (or, honestly, the heart) to go through and delete.
I'm switching over to another account called Methodia-Rascal (https://www.deviantart.com/methodia-rascal) if anyone wants to keep following me! Hopefully I'll upload more often, and with better quality of work.
I've been watching a lot of "old sketchbook" videos lately, and I think they're fascinating, whether thy showcase artwork that demonstrates incredible artistic skill from a young age or illustrate an artist's improvement over several years.
I used to (and, to an extent, still do) draw in my sketchbooks obsessively, and the finished stuff that I post is just the tip of the iceberg. What I'm wondering is if anyone would be interested in seeing some of my old "art" (if it can be called such). Most of it is just cringe-worthy old scribbles, but it might at least give someone a good laugh!
