Wonderful! From the thumbnail size, I thought it was an actual digital photo! (I hope that's a compliment for you!)

i love the combination of red and blue, and the painting looks like it was done traditionally. what program did you use?

Your strokes define the form really well, and the texture is complementing that, nothing is taking away. I have no crits! Was this painter or photoshop? :D

I don't expect an answer, but I do wonder how long you had to sit and observe these colours before putting them down. It's an amazingly lifelike study with what seems to me perfect secondary lighting. Very sweet piece, interesting textures too.

This took roughly two hours I think. For the first 30 minutes or so I am just trying to mass in the general values and put things in the right place. I squint my eyes to see past the little details, focusing mainly on the shadow shapes.

It does take a lot of time for my eyes to notice the subtle color shifts. For example there is a bit of green on the top curve of the right cookie, between the blue and yellow. That's something that didn't stand out until the very last minute. Now that I think about it, perhaps its a good thing that such details are unnoticeable for so long. In a sense, I am forced to start with the obvious and then work towards the subtle details. "General to specific"
