Hey everyone!! sorry for the delay in writing this journal and announcing the new AotM, but life's been hectic these last days...
Anyway, our member @EyweenaPterus told me something like "for October, an Octopus would be a fitting animal" :D
And mind you, she's quite right ;P so I found on the Internet a list of all Octopus species, told my Hubby to pick a number, and poof!! it landed on the incredible Coconut Octopus!! It's also called Veined Octopus or Amphioctopus Marginatus, and is best know for its habit to "walk" on 2 tentacles on the sea floor while holding a coconut or a shell above its head to hide from predators :) Isn't it cool??
You can learn more about it here: Amphioctopus marginatus - Wikipedia
And thank you so much, all of you who took time to make awesome portraits of Sand Cats for September!! It was a wonderful kitty month :)

Hey Moony, I have no idea how to create one but why not just take an image from the internet of an endangered species or ask your members what animal they might like to see represent the group and pull that image . Thatís what l did with my Groucho. You have an interesting animal of the month up there as well. Love the vultures.:D

Your idea was brilliant!! See, with the old DA, we had to create a stamp, with a specific format... and I hadn't thought it had changed with the new DA, too... so when I read your answer I thought: "we can do that??? Really?? With any picture?" So I have tried with one of my old bird drawings and a bit of text, it's temporary, but at least it's something, and not the big emptiness... :) I'm going to think about that more ... but thanks a zillion for your answer, it triggered something in my mind :)
