#WeWantJusticeI don't usually do reports in my journals, however I feel this is something very important, brought to my attention by a couple of people.
So in Bangladesh, the road safety and regulations are abysmal. Recently, there was a bus accident in Bangladesh that killed two students. The driver of the bus was found to not have a license. In most countries this would warrant an arrest on both accounts of vehicular manslaughter and driving without a license, but there are no laws against driving without a license in Bangladesh.
Some more students organised a protest to lobby for stricter laws regarding driver and road safety and regulations.
The government response has been horrific. Students have been raped, injured, and murdered. The police in Bangladesh have been killing students for protesting the lax road laws.
The government has straight up tried to shut down their internet to prevent the news of their tyranny from getting out.
