I have over 10 years of experience in print, web, retail, illustration and store design. I have worked for two fortune 500 companies FredMeyer (Kroger) and PetSmart Inc. I have also worked with clients such as Person Group. I have always been driven as a creative whether I’m concepting the next big promotional campaign or painting in front of my easle, my world always revolves around the creative process. Responsible for conceptual development and execution of creative deliverable of all assets relating to the online and e-mail branding of PetSmart, from it’s web services, micro-sites, internal department projects to e-mail blasts servicing all departments. Managed multiple internal and external projects in deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Thrived in a collaborative, corporate environment with a professional and positive attitude. Worked with the in-home team on conceptual design of direct mail, posters, collateral pieces, promotional signage, gift card, web site, banner, tile and email designs.
PetSmart, Inc. Senior Graphic Designer New Stores 2005 – 2011
Present Design and manages the development and execution of PetSmart creative, ensuring the marketing objectives are met and that all projects are completed accurately and on schedule. Oversees creative designers by leading, inspiring and developing. Art directs creative for new store prototypes, new marketing tests and environments. Executes signage and collateral for both in-store and associate communications. Manages and directs the execution of bimonthly promotional campaigns. Builds shot lists, develops mood boards, and art directs photo shoots. Works with business partners to understand strategy and develops tools to measure success. Drives collaboration of the internal team on the execution of the project strategy. Ensures design fits within the budget by partnering with the print buying team. Responsible for the conceptual development and design execution of PetSmart’s retail environment. Development and rendering of store designs, fixture designs, permanent signage and ideation concepting. Also including educational signage, kiosks and other PetSmart initiatives. Management of budgets and prototype development through vendor partners for pilots and store roll-out of fixtures and store environment initiatives. Create 3D renderings, visuals of fixtures and environments for presentations. Leading designers on cross-functional teams on development and solutions for promotional campaigns. Concept and illustrate storyboards and art direct photo shoots for in-store photography. Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while enhancing the overall PetSmart brand image and customer experience.
Fred Meyer, Inc. Graphic Designer/Production Artist 2000 – 2003
Responsible for creating original art work with a visual style and layouts appropriate for Fred Meyer. Worked on projects that confirmed the brand standards and content specifications provided by art directors. Frequently worked under pressure designing weekly ads, packaging, logos, brochures, direct mail and other projects under deadline. Prepared digital files, completed preflight procedures and all print production work before releasing to outside print vendors.
