I've been fighting with my printer and with the two different monitors I use on my two desktops. All three seem to have very different light levels and so I can't tell if the renders I've been producing lately are too dark. I've had a couple comments suggesting they are. I'd like my fans opinions: are the renders I am now doing through iRay seeming too dark? iRay interacts with the traditional scene-models that I usually use in odd ways and I discovered that the monitor on the computer I render on is much brighter than my other monitor or the light levels my printer wants to print at. So I am wondering if I need to increase the light levels t
Every couple years I go through my very long list of artists I'm watching and cull the list. Sometimes it's an artist whose gallery is GONE - usually those make me sad because I miss those artists. One of the things I do is check each artists gallery to see when they last posted something new and if it's been more than a couple years I assume that they abandoned DA without any sort of notification. If an artist hasn't produced any new art in four years or more I generally drop them too on the theory that they left DA. With some of these I fear that perhaps something happened to them and I just don't know. There are a few friends I either know
Ok so my last posting was rather hasty and emotionally engendered.
It's been more than a week since this whole thing started: they listed seven pieces of art that they "suggested" needing changes and they deleted four. Very honestly with the new TOS I expected them to tear my gallery to shreds, and they still might. I can imagine a lot of my pieces won't meet with WIXs religious criteria that is pushing their ever-more-restrictive TOS. Instead of the super-reactionary stance I suggested in my last post I'm simply going to look for an alternate site to post my "too adult for DA" art and stories. I am not going to touch anything here nor will
Not really, I had to renew my drivers license and that was enough of an ordeal that a trip to White Castle on the way home was all I was up for and then I went home and played Star Wars the old Republic for the rest of the day. I was terrified I'd fail the eye-test: their test doesn't feel accurate to what I can actually see when I'm driving. I can see distances better than close up and the eye test tries to fake distance with small letters which isn't really the same. I wear glasses and I can actually see close-up better without them; but for the test I HAVE to wear them so I'm handicapped by that in addition to the naturally fading vision as I get older.
