This whole thing is insanely epic. And so well drawn. Every panel has to take such work. Each is such a small part of the story, but mattering so much.

The scariest thing about this whole scene is that her psychoanalysis actually made sense.

Would you rather by psychoanalysed by someone speaking gibberish?

To me, it says that there is some kind or rhyme or reason underlying Pinkie's randomness.
It reminds me of Pinkie's ability to figure things out intuitively.
I kinda imagine that somewhere in her head there is a psychologist advice on ponies behaviour.

Also, I'm glad that someone understand Big Mac's situation haha,
even if it is only the author in this case!

panels 6 & 8 are my favorites, they are so well drawn, and that maniacal smile in 8, good thing Pinkie did not become a cannibal, but then I have not read all the comics yet...., keep up the great work!

Poor Big Mac, oppressed by a matriarchal society . . .

IRL, all other males would be driven out by the dominant ones, sort of like a lion pride. So they're lurking around the edges of equestrian territory, mayhaps . . .

This doesn't make any sense to me, how can a society(s) be matriarchal? Not that I'm sexist, I was raised in a patriarchal society and I know most other nations are male-based; its just how it is.

Matriarchal means women make the big decisions and husbands go to live with their wives' family instead of the other way around . . . they're not common, by any means, but they exist. Look it up.

(there's also substantial evidence that women make decisions that are better for the next generation and therefore society as a whole when they're given the chance at education.)

Actually, they're more common than you think. It's just that being Matriarchal or and balance of the two is rare in cultures that practice agriculture; in cultures that are hunter gatherer, pastorial (where semi-domesticated animals are kept and travel with nomadic humans, if I remember the details correctly) or even horticultural (similar to agriculture, but involves working in harmony with nature to get what you need rather than forcing it) women are able to contribute to the basic survival of the community (especially hunter gatherer where the women's contribution is the more dependable), while agriculture is something that is better suited to what men can do physically (that is, requires more upper body strength) which often results in women being less valued as it is difficult for them to directly contribute to the survival of their community. Most European cultures have relied on agriculture and thus are patriarchal but before European settlers arrived in North America it was either Matriarchal or had and women's counsel and men's counsel that were put in charge of things that fit their strengths (and interestingly, if a person identified with a role typically associated with the opposite gender they could take that role as long as they had the understanding of what that role meant). There are also some examples of cultures where production of resources is a man's job, but using it to create wealth is a women's.

Another factor that cause a society to be male dominant is actually having a small number of women, for example when a group from one country settles in another and there are significantly more men than women; since they can still have a surviving community with fewer men than women, the men are initially considered more "disposable" and more effort is put into ensuring the survival of the women which can lead to the idea that women require this protection because they are unable to protect themselves properly if the population ratio doesn't start to balance out quickly enough. Yet another factor in gender values is also which animal a culture identifies or is in closest contact with: agricultural cultures tend to resemble the structures of livestock animals with a head male, while hunter gatherer cultures tend to be closer to pack animals where there is rarely a head male alone and often there's either a head female or a head pair.

Interestingly, horse herds in our world tend to be matriarchal too, with the leader being called the "Boss Mare". So I suppose that would have carried over when Ponies began to develop complex societies. And perhaps practice horticulture rather than agriculture (though since mares would be capable of pulling and lifting even if they do practice agriculture they would still be able to contribute equally). Though it does make me wonder how they ended up with the three main Pony types becoming their own distinct cultures, but I suppose that would depend on whether Pegasi and Unicorns developed before or after Ponies began forming societies

Everything is run by the women and the males are only really for breeding and hunting. It doesn't happen very often in human societies, but lots of monkey and ape societies are matriarchal. Google the Bonobo chimp, it works pretty well for them.

I'll check it out.

It also remind of another person's MLP characters, :iconlionel23:, where more than half of the international leaders in MLP world are females even different species: an Empress Deer and lady Kirin, and even the democratically-elected Speaker of th Assembly is a female pony.
