Personality:
Madhavi is the consummate shopkeeper: friendly, easy to talk to, and welcoming to all. She approaches each customer like a potential ally, seeming to be genuinely interested in their lives - and, most likely, she is! With a trill in her voice, this mantis sweeps easily through life, not letting much ruffle her into anger. In fact, not many have heard her speak in rage, and should she ever get upset, she politely excuses herself so she won’t say something she’ll regret. Ever the diplomat, Madhavi would rather build bridges than tear relations apart, and if she can diffuse a tense situation with a kind word or laugh, she will be the first to try. This doesn’t mean that she’s a pushover, however, as when it comes to her business, she will stubbornly stick to her guns and insist on the price on the label: no bartering for her!

History:
Her parents are business owners - as was her grandparents and great-grandparents and so on. As such, Madhavi’s family was quite rich, and they would ride through the city in their luxurious carriage, passing by the poor and sick who clung to the alleyways. Growing up in a home constantly concerned with coin, Madhavi quickly saw how money could corrupt the heart with greed, and to see those sad Pokémon just out of reach, ignored by her parents’ cruelty… it broke her heart. So, as soon as she was old enough, Madhavi moved away from Samudaay and joined the Artificer’s Union. Traveling to Avalon and selling supplies to those who needed it for a fair price brought such joy to Madhavi’s soul, and she is excited to do the same in Aether.
