I have decided to continue doing my "Movie Poster" style of artwork for more NES games.  I have done Mario and Zelda and metroid, now I have moved on to the Castlevania Series.  if any of you have seen my Gallery on here you will know that It is my Favorite game series and I have done lots of artwork based off of it.  but this Poster in particular was fun and yet also a challange, because with this series of Movie Poster style NES game posters I am trying to capture the elements that really are familiar and crucial to what the game is, so when you look at it, you think, "Oh, that's Mario, or Zelda etc..." I have really tried to do the same here by blending my artwork with some of the Level design from the Original NES Castlevania game.  I am really happy with how it has turned out.  I plan to do Simon's Quest and Dracula's Curse Posters next, in order to create a complete set of these Posters for the Castlevania Series...Stay tuned!

I couldn't help but notice that all the Belmonts I've seen in your pics (Trevor, Christopher and Simon, specifically) always wield the Vampire Killer whip with their left hand.  Are the Belmonts and related characters left-handed in your AU, or is it mere coincidence?  I'm not complaining, either way: we need more left-handed fictional characters who are NOT villains or antiheroes.  While we're at it, we should also step away from that old right-sidedness-is-good-left-sidedness-is-bad symbolism: it's had quite a good run, but enough's enough.

haha until you brought it up I honestly had never really thought about it.  That is funny tho. I usually just put it in the hand where you will see it best depending on their pose and which way they are facing in the poster.

Also your Dracula design reminded me the ol' Nightmare King from Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland!

Hey Thanks again for buying one.  I am having a new set of prints done up for it in the morning.  the ones that I had done for my convention this past weekend were seriously too dark and almost "Muddy" looking to really sell and I really want to give ya something that is better quality than that. so I appreciate ya being patient while I get new prints made.  I am already working on a Simon's Quest Poster at the moment, and also plan to do  Double Dragon and Megaman ones!
