I think that line pretty much sums up why I love Mulan so much. Honestly, she's just gorgeous, badass, and you can really see how she grows in the movie. I can't believe I haven't drawn anything with her yet. :<

So, I really put my own spin on this one. I started off with colors of one of Mulan's alternate dresses in those Princess pics, but the patterns and added jewelery were inspired by Geishas as well as the lovely costumes in Curse of the Golden Flower (a hilarious Chinese soap opera movie from which many lulz were had).

I'll probably draw Mulan again someday, since I'm pretty sure I messed up her face. :<
