White Space With A Twist: chapter 7Am I the only one suprised this is number seven alreafy?
Emma and Abby sat on the grass watching the boys train. Abby kept poking her in the ribs until she glared at her.
"Did you have fun with Joel?"
Her cheeks turned pink. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Her twin groaned. "Come on, Em! You slept with his jacket on! You snuck out when I was 'asleep'."
Her blush grew. It didn't help when Joel sent her a goofy grin. "Okay. You win. I did have fun, actually."
"Did he kiss you?"
Emma's face was dark red. In a voice barely audible, she said, "Maybe."
Abby squealed. "I knew it! Aid said he wouldn't, but I said he would!"
Her blush disappeared. "Wait, you made bets on my love life?!"
Emma folded her blanket up with her clothes. Suddenly, hands covered her eyes. She grabbed the arm a threw it towards the ground. It
White Space With A Twist: chapter 6 Emma stared at the top of the tent. She didn't know what time it was, but she knew she should be asleep. She looked over at her sister before getting up. Emma had slept in all her clothes so she just walked out.
She found a log and sat on it. She thought about all the days she and Joel had spent in Nomega together.
'Was leaving his way of breaking up with me?' she thought.
A stick snapped behind her. "Good thing Dylan's training you in the morning, huh. You'd never catch anything like that, Joel."
"How'd you know it was me?"
"Who else would follow me out here? I know you get up early and go to bed late. Abby's asleep, Aiden could care less about me, and I don't know what Dylan would do, so that leaves you."
"Point taken. Can I sit?"
Emma shrugged. She looked down at her hands, thinking about the question she'd wanted to ask ever since she saw him again.
Taking a deep breath, she blurted out, "Did you leave because you wante
White Space With A Twist: chapter 5 Emma stared at the three standing in front of her.Scared of what two of them might say, she grabbed her pack and started running. She didn't look back, so she didn't know Joel was following her. She did hear someone breathing heavy behind her, though, so she knew someone was tailing her.
She weaved through trees and dodged bushes. She heard whhoever was following her crash into a few bushes and bought her some time. Her legs were screaming and her lungs burned, but she didn't let up. She saw a drop-off and skidded to a stop. She dropped her hands to her knees and breathed deep. Joel caught up to her, panting.
"E-emma, w-what the heck w-was that about?!"
Emma didn't answer him. Instead, she looked out over the forest, trying to organize her thoughts. On the one hand, she loved seeing him again, but on the other hand, her thoughts screamed at her to run again, to get away from him, to go back to Nomega.
She took another deep breath. "Jo
White Space With A Twist: chapter 3 Emma dove into the lake with only her leggings and tank top on, smiling as she felt the coolness greet her body. Coming to the surface, she saw Abby staring at the water, scared. She laughed.
"Hey, come on in, the water's great!" Abby didn't move. Her lips moved, but no words came out. Finally, one word slipped out.
Emma looked behind her, screamed, and started swimming as fast as she could to shore. A flat headed croc was swimming behind her, too close for comfort.
"Hurry, Emma! Swim!"
'What do you think I'm doin'?'
She made it to shore moments before the croc thing clamped it's jaw shut where her leg had been. Grabbing her shirt, boots, and bag, she led Abby at a fast pace back to their camp.
An hour later, they
