this i think was one of the first pics i took with the new camera. i took them for the purpose of having some high res under water images and these ended up having some really brilliant blues. it's always good to have plenty of high res reference for things like this for under water paintings because you can examine up close the way water refracts on the different textures and the way different colors are made from the various things growing on rock such as worms and snails and various algae. often times the texture of the rock is different and unique as well as it's often pumus and lava rock types.

dont forget the little glowing spots of fish poop and other tiny living animals that float around in the water and subtly catch the light.
