I didn’t post a new warrior for quite a long time now. So here we go with little Brightheart!
I love this character so much and she is one of the most meaningful characters in the series. Her message is SUPER IMPORTANT. Unfortunately, she didn’t have the character arc she deserved after the first series. That’s too bad because it would have been great to see more of her struggle with her scars. Maybe she could have even accepted them. But hey. Character development after they are not the main focus anymore? No way. Too hard. Absolutely impossible. They did the same with Firestar, Bramblestar; Jayfeather, Lionblaze (even if seriously, he has no character development even when he was the main character) and so many others. Ugh.
Also I draw her quite round and not exactly pretty because I really didn’t like when people say she was absolutely gorgeous before having her scars.
It’s much more powerful if she was just a normal cat, because you don’t have to be particularly pretty to feel ugly after such injuries. And people pitying her because “She was so beautiful before the dogs :’( That so sad what happened to her” understand NOTHING. It has nothing to do with her former so-called beauty, but the way she sees HERSELF. Beauty is metaphoric in her case. And if she is just normal, she can be all of us. The one injured, but also the one that feels dirty, the ones that are insulted for their physical appearance, even the one that was raped and suffer from a PTSD. It’s about not seeing you the way you did before a traumatic experience, and understanding you are still beautiful in many ways. We are all Brightheart.

These are stylized warrior cats, so they may differ from the canon design, or the one put on the warrior wikia.
