Wow, it's been almost a year since my last journal entry here! Let's change that.
Our con lull has finally been broken, with Katsucon 2014 marking the start of this year's convention gauntlet (for us, anyway). Katsucon has always been kind of a mixed bag for us - it's far away, kind of expensive, and it's in the middle of the coldest part of the year - but I'm glad to say that this year's convention is one that we'll remember forever. We're back from Anime Boston, and it was a blast! Despite an initial setback (namely forgetting our entire make-up case), Boston turned out to be one of the best cons I've been to in years. It's been a while since I've had that much fun at a convention! It was busy, but not insanely so - just enough to keep us entertained. Emmacchi here! It's been a while since either of us updated this, so here's a little news from Whiskey Peak.
I'm off to a really good start this year in terms of cosplay - April is just ending, and I've completed four costumes. I've got one more in the pipeline for Anime Boston this year: Hanamura Yousuke from Persona 4. Anime Boston is going to be so much fun this year, and I'm really looking forward to grouping up for Adventure Time and Jintai/Humanity has Declined! We're also running a panel (Japanese Tales of the Supernatural) on Friday night, so stop by for a few spooky stories.
Outside of cosplay, I started a new job in January!
