This Velociraptor will probably be a part of a gift for someone. I looked up dramatic bird poses for some inspiration, but of course, this raptor's pose hardly looks like the one I chose. He is also so much more colourful in person, having all sorts of blues, golds and purples, but this is as good as the photo can be for now. At least the it is decent.

Awesome. My only concern is that I think the wings may be lifted too high - as far as I know the ability to raise the wings above the back is a more derived condition, probably related to avian powered flight.

Yes, the wings are lifted too high. I had a certain perspective on the wings where they were going straight out from his body. But when I got further along in the drawing and coloured in the back wing, I messed up on the perspective and could not erase it, for the colours were far too dark and the coloured pencils being used do not erase very easily. Sorry.
