Shot on May 11th in my backyard.  The flicker head was all by him(?)self with no other body parts found.  Though it was sad to see a dead woodpecker, it was quite exciting and fascinating, too.
This head showed me that I cannot really smell rotting flesh anymore, for he did not stink to me, but when I showed family members to him, he stunk to them...  :D

Thank you!  :aww:
That's a good idea!  I bet they taught you much!  :D

You are welcome^^ if i find something dead i try to observe it and study it,i love comparative anatomy. I practise dissection too in order to memorize every part of the organ.

It is cool that you do that.  :D  I do observe dead things, but I don't really dissect them.

I have been dissecting dead things or organs (i buy them in butchery shops) since i was little because i always wanted to discover the wolrd, how it is made and works,i also took my dad's video camera and opened it in order to study it XD. Unfortunately i don't have professional tools and so i have to use kitchen knives,so cuts are not perfect and sometimes i have to help myself with hands, then i draw what i see and i try to repeat the names of parts in order to remember them^^

So facinating, this is!  Well, at least you got some form of tool to use.  :)  All the drawing and naming must really engrave the knowledge you have learned into your brain!  So wonderful indeed!  :)
