Lake Tahoe, California. This was one of the first places we stayed on our trip - we figured we could acclimatise here - Lake Tahoe is at around 6800ft above sea level. It is also one of the deepest lakes in North America (only Crater Lake is deeper), and they say the water here is more pure than the stuff out of a bottle...

lol Mom and I make a point to go to Tahoe at least twice a year. It's kinda easy to make the trip when I like four hours away. xD I love going during the winter and driving around the lake.
