There is a verse in today's Our Daily Bread reading that really hit me:
"5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
"11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
12 For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights." Proverbs 3:11-12
I've often found myself looking at my life and comparing it to where I think I should be or what I should be doing. I look at events that are going on around me and the direction in which my life has gone and I sometime
