Commissions are now at two slots and have some opening rules:

1) I do correctly cited vector rebuilds of out of copyright works. These show up here on DA.
2) I do correctly cited archival prints of out of copyright works where I scan or photograph the original material and create the best print I can from that. These do not show up on DA, other than as part of the occasional promotional poster.
3) I do not re-paint, rebuild, or re-draw anything that's under copyright - US version - without written consent from the artist or their estate, and when I do, that too is correctly cited.

4) I do not use AI for the creation of artwork in any stage of the process.

Most of what I'm open for is original artwork, but if you want a portrait from a photo, or a map piece, I will consider it if it's got the correct permissions attached.

I work in found materials for most of what I do, which means originals almost never use acid free/archival materials. This is mostly personal preference due to loving how paintings age and react over the years, but also because when I'm working on paper that cost me $30 a sheet at a large size, I worry about wasting it, and my work suffers. All digital finals are be provided as JPG, TIFF, PSD, etc. Name your format(s). I find TIFF usually plays best with print shops.

I take Paypal only, which means no NSFW art. Many apologies. Commissions require 50% up front. If there's a range of prices in our discussion, this means you've set a price cap, and I've set a minimum price, which you pay half of immediately - the final price is determined by how much work went into the piece, materials used, etc. Final payment within three days of completion.

I only rarely sell originals, and that only if materials costs are covered in addition to the commission itself. Original physical art ranges between five and ten times the cost of a standard commission. I even more rarely do framing - custom hand built frames - which are frankly a nightmare to build and ship, typically starting at cost of materials and $400 plus. Read this as, "I desire never to have to ship a frame ever again."

Poetry: $50 per topic, format of my choice. Thus, Drowning at Sea while on Fire would be three topics, or $150. Sonnets are double price. Recent work is on mastodon, regularly updated. Short form @wetdryvac@writing.exchange and long form @wetdryvac@landofkittens.social for your perusal.

Poetry 3-panel comics, as above, and then $10 a page with photography of my choice, or per individual image as below, with $5 to lay each page out.

I also take trades in goods. If you have something you think is worth trading, ask. I'm currently looking for bulk dry goods (rice, beans, good flour), some computing gear, and art supplies. You must negotiate ahead of time for a trade. Just grabbing something off one of my wish lists, while I thank you if you do, does not mean a commission is contracted for. Yes, this has happened before.
