Yes, it does. This one was sold but I'd like to make another. Wiring the darn thing is such a pain I've been putting it off though!

That's so cool! I understand why you're putting the next one off. These must take forever!

Walk? No. It's a working clock though.

:) That's ok. I'm really bad at every other language but English, so you're doing better than I am!

So very very cool! Did you have to glue each page down so it didn't swing open?
wetcanvas's avatar
wetcanvasProfessional Traditional Artist
Yes. That's the worst part, waiting for the glue to dry so I can start working!

I want to practice doing something like this. Do you cut each page individually, or glue them, then cut in chunks?
That's a lot of patience!

For this particular one, I cut a rectangle through 3/4 of the book, leaving the last pages intact. Then I installed the clock hardware and glued the outsides of the pages left in the book together. Then I glued the sheets of paper that I had cut out of the book together until they reached the different thicknesses I needed and cut the gear shapes out of them. Arrange the gears the way you like and then glue them down into place.

Oh wow. Very time consuming! Maybe I'll give it a shot if I have the patience :) Thanks!
