I have a mutually beneficial photo shoot tonight with a new photographer. He is trying to update his portfolio as to attract new clients and I am always looking for a way to try something new and keep my own photos fresh. He was inspired by my recent work with Paul Dark Matter Zone and wants to try something similar to one of the photos as well as adding that he has a motorcycle he'd like to use and is bringing fruit to incorporate into another shot too. Ooo! Color! I am interested and excited to see what the night brings. We will be shooting in a local distillery here that is allowing us access to their building once they are closed. I feel so blessed to have been lucky enough to shoot in these interesting locales in my short modeling career so far.
Tomorrow I have a PAID shoot! This will be with a different photographer that just arrived in town last night and wants to do 3 separate things. The first part will be headshots and an up close view of my face and eyes. The second is supposed to be the most time intensive and is the one I'm most nervous about because of the technical aspect of it. He plans to digitally alter it to give the appearance of suspension or flying and gave me the reference of "Oracle" from the movie 300 as what he has in mind. Yowza! So I've been practicing my "flying", etheral poses, feeling a little silly but mostly nervous and excited. The third will be really cool; it involves a swimming pool, a nightgown and is supposed to feel more like a baptism. "Your hair is going to get totally wet so don't worry about extensive styling." I imagine colors like brown, gray and blue when I think about it. The downside, if any, to this particular shoot is that because he's paying me for my time, I am unsure if I'll end up with pictures. Likely not, but hopefully he gives me some really visible credit somewhere that I can link to.
And then I THINK my weekend is free. I think. I actually should check my calendar now and make quite sure of this.
