Man, this piece was annoying. For one thing, I recorded myself working on this during that Livestream the other week and when I wanted to stop recording, I couldn't because the fucking Procaster software wouldn't let me. I restarted my computer to get it to stop, but after I did that, I realized I forgot to save some of my progress. The data lost wasn't very massive; just the shadows on Fluttershy. I now remember why I haven't made many streams: the fucking software was acting like a little stubborn bitch. I'm sorry for my language (especially since it's the holiday season), but I tend to get pretty miffed over the smallest things too easily nowadays. I have no idea why.
About the image itself: I am aware of how awkward the reins look on the three fliers. I drew each pony individually on paper and thanks to that, I wasn't thinking thoroughly about the angle of the reins. Whoops. Also, I forgot to add extra reins so that the three are physically connected to the sled, so I added some magical glowy effects on the bladed parts underneath. I call it practical, others may call it lazy. I wanted to add an extra character in this pic since it's 2013 and there are currently twelve here, but I couldn't think of who it would be. I suppose twelve is enough.

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactWhat a lovely piece of work, The shading and the way they are drawn is fantastic. It looks so lively, and the characters expression just feel perfect for them. Rarity's surprised look is priceless, and Pinkie pie's face just represents Christmas Cheer, along with the wave. The detail and work put into this is outstanding, and you really put thought to make this picture. However, every picture has it's flaws...it is not very original, I think a lot of bronies have seen ponies in Santa's slay before. Believe me, there are quite a few if you look hard enough. But, it's mostly with oc ponies instead of the mane 6, so it's a bit more 'out there' than others. We don't see this style necessarily all the time, and I like it. Like I said earlier, marvelous shading and detail. I must add the background is simply gorgeous, truly must've taken you some hard work.
