The scene fades in on an old, abandoned movie theater.  There is an air of uncertainty as the camera pans across the area... sitting in the back are the Universal Champion Haruhara Haruko and UK Champion Ran Kotobuki, two-thirds of the Spanish Inquisition, who had the night of the year at Souled II.  Neither of the two seem interested in what’s going on, but seen more interested in chatting with each other.  In the aisle itself, on her knees, chained to herself by her wrists and ankles and neck, is the behemoth Devil Lady, a very restrained look of rage on her face, seemingly ready to snap again at any moment.  The Tag Team Champions, the ...

The shot fades in on the massive, sprawling garage area in the rear of the EBW:R Arena.  In that parking garage, which also serves as the employee entrance (so they don’t get mobbed by fans on their way to the arena), the simple, spacey Goddess of EBW and reigning Million Dollar Champion, Ayumu “Osaka” Kasuga, sits on a basic steel chair, looking anxiously to the rear of the building.  There’s a sweet, simple smile on her face as she waits with glee.  After several seconds of waiting, her opponent for the night, the first ever Universal champion Chiri Kitsu, emerges from the employee entrance, going over a series of lined notebooks with a ...

The camera fades in to a slow pan across the hallways of the Revival Arena, an arena almost identical to the now-demolished EBW Arena in Hokkaido.  The camera stops in front of one locker room, spray-painted with a blood-red “nWo” logo.  The shot jump-cuts to the interior of the locker room, where the three champions of the night are preparing... UK Champion Ran Kotobuki is adjusting blood-red trenchcoat, the blood-red streak in her hair now matched with a blue stripe and a white stripe to match her UK Title... The camera fades in on a stylish, yet simplistic, office adorned with many different kinds of automatic weapons for decoration.  Obviously, this office could only belong to the pale rider herself, head road agent of The Revival, Koko Hekmatyar.  And the stylishly-dressed pale arms dealer herself sits behind the desk, regarding the camera with her usual borderline psychotic smirk.Koko: So, as with any good wrestling federation poised on the verge of stardom, we’ve hit a few... snags.  The main one is that we farm out our show editing and promotion to a production company in Florida that was hit, although not as severely as most, by Hurrican...

Pyro, applause and laser lights explode out at once across the EBW:R Arena as the first of the two September events, “EBW:R Survivor Series”, kicks off, as the theme for the event, “Survivor Guilt” by Rise Against, plays on.  On either side of the entrance stage are six black-and-white posters of the six women already eliminated from The Revival... The shot fades in on the “Gorilla Position” of the EBW:R Arena, the backstage area right behind the entrance to the arena stage.  Head road agent Koko Hekmatyar, immaculate in her pale white suit, regards a group of EBW:R wrestlers... two members of the nWo, the cool and collected Rally Vincent and the adorable and bipolar Akira Kogami, as well as the feisty and bored Ran Kotobuki, and most specifically the unpopular and fidgety former POW Grand Slam Champion, Tomoko Kuroki, holding the Million Dollar Title she stole from Osaka... The show doesn’t start with a burst of music... it starts with a solemn shot of the outdoor arena.  This time, it’s Chiri Kitsu’s school, with... that face... on the clock face replaced by a round poster of the EBW:R logo.  The school acts like the entrance stage, with steel barriers leading up to the outdoor ring, with the announcer’s table next to the ring (no giant video screen this time).  Students from Chiri’s school surround the ring... but also, students from Osaka’s school, both groups outfitted in their school colors.  Little Washu stands in the middle of the ring, microphone in hand, tears staining her face.Washu: My name is Wash...
