I wanted to do a bit more practice of my fake screenshot technique, so I made up a quick pic to do so. This is an original character, if you were wondering. My main goal in this pic was to see if I could add a bit of noise to simulate what happens when you take a screencap. I think that the problem with my earlier attempts was that I didn't add enough noise- it ended up looking a bit too clean. That's good if I want to emulate a promo pic, but not so much if I want to fake a screenshot.
Great job with this. I always admire your painted beach backgrounds, and the girl looks wonderful. Nice composition overall too.
Thanks! I'm still working on the basics of the fake screencap, but I do need to make sure I get the other parts right as well.
Amazing work with the shading and detailing on the skin. The highlights on her raised arm looks especially good.
Thanks! I'm getting a bit closer now, but still have to figure out how to make the lines more convincing.
This looks marvellous, it really does capture that old anime look well.
Such a gorgeous, busty original character you've thought up for this exercise.
How old is this cutie? ^^''
Very nice work~
Nice! Though I think the outlines of a screenshot may be thicker. You'll need to practice the subtitles as well.
Thanks! I had a look at my pencil tool, and it looks like I had accidentally reduced the size of it (from 7 down to 5) this time around. I'll keep an eye on that in future. Also, I want to try to experiment with other techniques to see if I can get closer to the screencap look I want.
