I wanted to do a bit more practice creating characters and model sheets, so I drew this one up. I don't know much more about the (new, original) character than what I've written above, but it's a start. Ceri alternates between a ponytail and twintails depending on her mood/ depending on what I might feel like drawing.
(Names are hard for me, because they need to have meaning but also can't be too much like another character's name or some other confusion.)
She looks adorbs and I like the color scheme.
Nicely done - especially with her variant hairstyles (that's something I've got to work on).
Thanks- I want to try to include more hairstyle variants in my designs, and to use them when I can. I think it will help in both showing off the character and making them seem a bit more real.
Nice work. Do you usually include a variety of expression for a model sheet?
Thanks! I sometimes include different expressions, but that can get time-consuming. I try to focus on just getting the various angles right, and I can work on expressiveness in comics or maybe sketches.
Character sheets were the worst part of my time at art school, i could never get anything to match up.
I find them tricky because I have to be precise if I want to use them later. At least it simplifies the process to draw future pics, as I already have a good visual reference for other angles.
She looks cute! Nicely done. The hairstyle is very appealing.
Super cute! Also love her hair and the outfits. ^^
