Fire.

my life.

I've spent 17 years fighting forest fires.

I've lit entire mountainsides on fire to save four other mountainsides.

I've seen how it can devastate the land ... and how it can rejuvenate the land.

I've chased it ... it's chased me.

I unaffectionately call it 'The Beast' ... and have learned its hungry ways.

I live to stare down its throat and into its belly.

I hate it.

I love it.

Fire.
