Hidden Perfection (WAB6116)

By WayneBenedet
Something that I posted to scraps a few months back for a friend.  I decided to name it and post it publicly.

This barn is located in south eastern Saskatchewan.  I took the image last September when I was travelling west to British Columbia to visit friends.

! Wonderful ! It turns out to be a fascinating take. and while the barn is more or less standing still after so long abandoned in a place where the temperatures are very low, it is incredible.

I think the weather on the Prairie helps to preserve things.  It is dryer than may areas shich helps to reduce rot and rust, and the cold similarly protects.  The one thing that I damaging us UV.  We get a lot of sun on the prairie, even when it is very cold, so if something is susceptible to UV light, it will quickly deteriorate.

It's understood. Anyway, I think, it will not be long, for the climate to do its job

wonderful photo Wayne, I love decay...

We have quite a few old decaying barns here, used to take the barnboards and clean up
the property...No more though, the barnboards are going for big bucks now No, I disagree! No, I disagree!

There is a thriving barn board business here as well.  Fortunately, few have disappeared.

I always intended to David, but Ryan was looking for a specific place, and the only way I could tell him was to post the picture,  I should have just posted it to stash and given him a link... but I am old, or at least I must have been old that day because the technology was beyond me.  So I posted it to scraps.
