“L-L-Lady Palutena…just…HOW?! WHY?!”
Pit just kept running. He didn’t care how far he ran, or where he was going; all he wanted to do was to protect his new friend Kirby.
“Poyo…” Kirby’s eyes started to water a little as well, seeing his new friend so sad.
The poor angel felt lost now. The goddess he looked up to so much for all these years, the Goddess of Light he was always willing to give his life for…had indirectly ignited a galactic disaster with Kirby caught right in the middle. A mere infant. Maybe powerful in his own right, but still an infant. And Pit felt so upset about not being his “guardian angel” so much sooner.
They eventually reached Kirby’s house, where Tiff and Tuff stood by the door.
“PIT!” They called as he stopped to catch some shaky breaths.
“Wh-what’s the matter?” Tiff asked.
“Why…are ya cryin’?” Tuff said in concern.
Pit fell to his knees, his eyes overflowing with tears.
