Inktober is a great experience and I even had a nice topic for this year -alas, this month has a frantic workload. Though most of the graphics I do for the museum are done in ink so I can pretend to do inktober at last
Oooooh, I've seen so many people take part in this over the years and always thought it looked fun. I'm on holiday to Disneyworld for a good chunk of the month so I might take it up and see if I can fill in a page a day while waiting in ride lines and for shows etc to start ^_^ definitely be checking out the journal to see what it says about it.
Yeah, just watched the video by Myriam you shared and it was super informative and inspiring god knows do I know life gets in the way of things. I feel like I've hardly created art for myself over the last 5 years of college and university and was super excited to finally have time after graduating this summer and funnily enough the job hunt stressed me to the max and nothing happened. Now I have a job and just trying to fit life around it is tough XD I'm sure I'll find that balance soon and this really does seem like a great challenge and just a fun thing to take part in Since I'm on holiday for most of the month I think I'll just stick to the list that Jake released and it'll stress me out trying to think of something for everyday, but I think it'll be really fun to theme it around Disney characters/locations in parks/etc that I'm gonna be surrounded by on a day to day basis. Gonna start looking through my sketchbooks and see which one will be fit for working in and carrying with me through the parks and have enough pages to keep me going. I'm super excited about it and glad I got the chance to get online and onto DA to check my messages today. Thanks so much for the awesome reminder of the challenge.
"to theme it around Disney characters/locations in parks/etc" What better way then to draw something you saw that day You take a photo, go back to your room and sketch something...or if you can, even on the location itself
Yup I’m gonna have my camera with me to take a million photos anyways so I’ll hopefully have some great reference and inspiration.
I’m doing a lil bit of planning as Myriam suggested in her video and seeing if I can come up with some ideas for each word and some wee thumbnails too, it seems like it’ll be a lot less stressful than panicking each day on not having a something in mind.
Thanks, I’m sure I will, it’s a huge challenge to take on when there’s nothing else going on but I’m super excited to try it and if I can’t keep up with everyday as planned then it’s not gonna be the end of the world I’ll still be happy I tried and got some of them done.
Yeah it took her a few years cause as with many things life gets in the way, I know its happened to me many times so I know to expect that. I'll hopefully be able to post at least an okay phone photo of work and get it all scanned or properly uploaded once I'm home.
I'll definitely enjoy it and having a challenge again I hope everyone else enjoys Inktober too.
