Description
In December 1962 artist Dan Decarlo's original creation, "Josie" and her friends debut in Archie's Pals and Gals #23 and in February of the following year landed her own magazine titled "She's Josie". Decarlo modeled comic book Josie after his own wife, also named Josie, he even gave his new creation the same red bouffant hairdo that his wife wore at the time.
