I've seen and made these before, but rarely with such crisp edges or with such appropriate paper. It's hard to get 30 sheets of anything nice together.

My favorite that I've made before was when I cut the adhesive edge off of Post-It notes to make little squares, and I wound up with a little yellow electra about 2" in diameter.

Yeah, it's a process much like any other in life. Experience lends itself well to capability.
