I was commissioned to create a more modern mission statement illustration for a local ad agency here, and it inspired me to create my very own. So here it is =)

The 3 main points here are what I have found to be vital in creating a life of greater happiness, success and well being, no matter what one is faced with. There is a fine, but simple art to each of them, and maintaining these outlooks will yield positive results for those applying it. You have to think yourself into feeling the lighter emotion though. When you choose the positive interpretation of any seemingly negative situation, the better feelings will come, and your reality will begin to reflect that positive attitude back to you. Hey, life is just so much more fun on the positive side =)

Thanks for sharing this and your other pieces that relate to it. I actually remember these frequently when I want to give up on myself. And in a lot of ways, this is what gave me the courage to start a DeviantArt account and allow my stuff to be seen publicly. Thank you.

Hey, is it possible that i can use that on my website? The page is about me and the thing i've doing for a living. So i dont know if this is directly "commercial" because of course it's possible that people can write me to hire me or something but i'm not selling stuff directly there. And because i am a writer i really like that picture to be the normal writing stuff avatar for my posts in my blog when i do writing stuff

Love the Mayan symbol.

The Galactic Butterfly
which is said to represent all of
the consciousness that has ever existed
in this galaxy. This is all of our physical ancestors
both human, animal, reptile, fish, shell fish, plants as well
as the consciousness which organized all of the raw material from
a whirling disk into stars then planets and solar systems. Big Meaning. So
big that the original Maya had no symbol for this. In their civilization it was like
having no name for God. Just knowing the concept was good enough. Later this pattern was devised by Toltec or Zapatec weavers as a pattern for blankets and this is where Jose Arguelles came across it. He called it Hunab Ku. The indigenous peoples call it "The Galactic Butterfly". Butterflies are seen as ancestors returning for a visit to physicality. Wearing one of these symbols is very powerful as it broadcasts your reaching to actively join the consciousness of our galaxy.

The secret left out the secret though. If you really want to understand the Law of attraction fully and how to apply it, get yourself into the teachings of Abraham. They have the greatest teachings on it. Easy to understand and how to apply. Once you understand it, everything begins to make sense, and you finally know how to take deliberate control of your life =)

when i "choose" the positive interpratation of a situation i feel negative about... how can i make myself belive the positive one instead?
Also sometimes i dont see the positive option of how to percieve a certain situation i am in... i WANT to think positive and lighten up, but my own mind doesnt let me...

Well, when you are in a place of strong negative emotion, the jump from there to strong positive emotion can sometimes be too great of a leap to make - the energies are too far apart, so you would need to work on closing that gap.

The way you feel about absolutely anything is purely based on the way you think. The work is to find the better and better feeling thoughts. For example, if you are in a place of fear and hopelessness, finding thoughts that bring you into anger is a step forward, because thats where you start to regain your power (since you had none in fear and hopelessness). From there find thoughts that bring you to less anger and into frustration, then into less frustration and as soon as you reach hope, you've pretty much closed the gap, so now the positive zone becomes available to you. Its all about closing that gap. Follow the better feeling thoughts, so pay attention to your emotions.

For me, if I experience something that gets me down and I want to feel better, I have to talk myself all the way there. I've come to understand that very powerful things can be learned when you do experience the negative. From experiencing what you don't want, you in a strong way know what you do want, and from there you have the opportunity to attract it your way. The realization of what is desired as a result of the negative experience is what i feel the purpose of them to be. In that way I am able to transform the negative view of the situation into a positive one. Life is assisting you constantly for your own growth and development. Its just a matter of being able to recognize the assistance that "negative" events can bring. When you can start to see the value of the "negative", getting yourself to a more positive place becomes much easier.

Once you start to maintain the better feelings on a more consistent basis, the "bad" experiences will lessen and you'll attract better paths.

Thanks you a lot for your words. Ill try to keep them in my mind.
I experienced that art, more than anything else in my life, has lead me to the deepest questions and dilemmas about myself and my life.
I believe and hope theres a way out of my negative thinking and the way you make it sound is almost beautiful by itself.

Thanks again for your words.

Its a pleasure! Just remember, you can see a negative experience as a positive thing. If it wasn't for experiencing the "negative" we wouldn't know what is better and wouldn't have greater desires. See a negative experience as going to dig for some better clarity over what you desire, then once you've finished digging (finished the negative experience) you then have the opportunity to draw it your way.

The only way we ever get what we've been desiring is when we let go of any resistance towards it and get into the state of well being without the manifestation of it. When you can reach the state of being happy without the manifestation, the manifestation will then come. For example - the reason why we cant find something thats lost and only do find it when we aren't looking, is because thats when we've let go of the energy that it is lost. As long as your focus is that it is lost, it will not become available to you, even if its right in front of you. Make sense?

Another example... Remember the movie Hook? Peter Pan had to first find his happy thought before he could fly, not the other way around. We humans generally only decide to be happy after we've manifested a desire, which is what keeps most people from achieving their dreams. When we are happy and content, what we've been wanting magically comes out of nowhere =)

I can see the pattern there, yes.
I guess at that point, even as a very scientific person(studying maths and physics) i probably just have to believe that this is true for the very same reason you mentioned... thinking positive about this concept would, according to the concept, fullfill it.

Mathematically a paradoxon but i guess i should just ignore that fact haha.
Its a little bit like the barber on the island that shaves the beard of every person who doesnt shave it themselves.
Question only is if he is shaving his own beard ^_-

There is a solution but for the solution one has to let go of one idea that is only implied in the question.

I think it would be great to have this as a poster for people to purchase. I love the way you continue to provide artists with positive thoughts and a great forward thinking outlook. It recognises that every artist goes through some dark times on their way through their career, and this just provides a little reminder to why they should continue working through it all.
