I've taken quite a few liberties with his design, but after so many years of drawing him in my own style I think my friend is used to it by now! I used regular old craft paint thinned with water to get this effect. Rarely do I touch watercolors...it seems like such an unforgiving medium, and I make lots of mistakes/corrections. Have you ever worked with watercolors?
