Name: Dimbwi (swahili for pond/pool)
Born into the Jungle River pride
Mother: Jiwe-Laini Father: Fahari Siblings: Tishio, Safi, Mawimbi, Tetemeko, Kuzama, Heshima Mates: Muuaji Children: Akili-Kali, Miguu-Nyepesi, Pumzika, Kutisha.
Dimbwi is from Fahari and Jiwe-Laini's first litter which bore both her and her sister Mawimbi. Mawimbi came first and rather silently, but Dimbwi came into the world kicking and screaming; Fahari had remained by Jiwe-Laini's side throughout the birth and was overcome with joy at the sight of his children. Jiwe-Laini had little struggle bringing both girls into the world and the next day held a ceremony to introduce both daughters and name Mawimbi as her heir.
While Dimbwi was not the heir, it was expected that she would contribute to her prides successful rule in some wat. As such, Dimbwi's life was full of lessons and tasks relating to the betterment of her pride. While not a pride lacking in food and comfort, their territory was rather small and the neighboring leopards and jaguars did post problems at times. It was Jiwe-Laini's plan therein that Dimbwi would marry the heir apparent to the Jungle Pride. Fahari was a bit hesitant in supporting his wife, having heard how brutal the Jungle Pride could be, but Jiwe-Laini calmed his fear and after meeting with the monarchs of the Jungle Pride the betrothal was made.
In hopes of fostering a better relation between the pair, Dimbwi and her mate to be Muuaji were sent back and forth between one another's prides for small amounts of times as cubs and longer stints as adolescence. Dimbwi found Muuaji's pride rather hotheaded and brutal, but saw the prowess represented in its ranks. With time many accepted Dimbwi for the quick learner she was; able to hold her own in a fights both physical and mental. Muuaji on the other hand found it difficult to get along in the Jungle River pride. Many often claimed him to be hotheaded with a large temper that only Dimbwi seemed to calm.
Their marriage was a large ceremony attended by both prides; Muuaji engaged in a fight for Dimbwi's honor, killing his opponent. While his pride rejoiced at yet another show of Muuaji's strength and capability to lead, Dimbwi's pride watched on nervously. The ceremony and celebration was tense for the Jungle River pride until their return home. Dimbwi supported her mate and maintained a peace with her birth pride; even convincing her mate to lend aid to her birth pride on more than one occasion.
The pair went on to have 5 cubs over 2 separate births. Dimbwi was known as a kind but firm mother to her children; Muuaji very demanding of his children but surprisingly affectionate as well. In later years, upon Pumzika's attempts to kill her siblings and gain the throne, it is sadly Dimbwi her ends her life. After this, Dimbwi was more distant with members of the Jungle Pride and upon her husbands passing (of old age) she returns to her birth pride to live out her final years with her nieces and nephews as an advisor.
