Vectorated BSD Daemon by warbo Vectorated BSD Daemon by warbo
This is a vector version of John Lasseter's famous rendering of the BSD daemon. It was traced by hand (mouse) in Inkscape and uses masks and blur, so make sure your viewer supports those. I made this to vectorise the Sheffield University Free Software Society logo, and when seeking permission I was told vector versions exist. However, I find this image (which I had already drawn) is a more accurate vector representation. There is no part of the original raster image in this file, so I am releasing this as Public Domain. You don't need my permission to do anything with this, although the daemon itself is still copyrighted by Marshall Kirk McKusick, so if you want to do anything major with this then I suggest you get his approval (I used this email: mckusick AT mckusick DOT com) for use of the daemon itself. Personal use is fine BTW.
