And here we have one of the main reasons that an uncensored version of the series wouldn't be allowed to be a children's show. Being the perverted genius of the "heroes" of my comics, Mech-Mech rarely wastes an opportunity to fantasize about or flirt with women. Though not much is known about Doko's past yet in the series, Mech-Mech hasn't had too much shown about his backstory either.

Originally living life as a "Street Rat" on New Genten Island, Mech-Mech spent his days stealing from others until he caught a revered scientist, Professor Mousenips, in one of his traps leading to the scientist "adopting" him and becoming his mentor upon realizing the boy's natural gift with inventing. 

By his late teens or early 20s, Mech-Mech became the head of New Genten's Phendrite Research Project, a project intended to discover more about the dangerous mutagenic substance that people, by the time the comics take place (the 2200s or 2300s), had started become a bit more immune to. With his position, Mech-Mech would frequently flirt with the female staff, much to the annoyance of a number of them. The project however would eventually end in disaster when a certain vial of Phendrite that wasn't supposed to be put into experiments ended up slipping in resulting in the presumed death of one of the researchers.

After the disaster ended the project, Mech-Mech would end up moving to Pilaf Town on Hon Print Island where the main focus of his lusting would end up becoming his voluptuous neighbor, Tesley (www.deviantart.com/warahi/art/…). From there Doko meets Mech-Mech and Tesley in the first issue of the comics and the series begins.

Mech-Mech isn't the most "brave" or "nobel" of characters, but his genius more than contributes to the "team" with all that he creates and can figure out. Though it bears a resemblence to an insignia found on certain ancient machines in the world of the comics, for the machines that Mech-Mech creates he will usually plaster an insignia on them (www.deviantart.com/warahi/art/…) that he modeled after the name he ended up taking (he can't recall ever having parents with his earliest memories being some ruins and wandering the streets of the main city on New Genten Island).
