dA[I]
As you know, I'm not a fervent admirer or defender of AI.
I hear and read a lot of very violent things about AI on DA. I wanted to try and understand how it worked, simply out of intellectual curiosity. I had fun with DreamUp and I'm not ashamed to say it.
This tool both fascinates and frightens me. As far as I'm concerned, respect for copyright, for which I'll always fight, is a problem.
I can also imagine that things could get out of hand if public and political authorities don't give AI a bit of a framework. I wanted to know even more, so I proposed this interview to AG , who is for me the best representative of AI on DA today. I've always appreciated his honest and objective analysis.
I hope you'll enjoy this interview, which took a lot of work from both of us.

New Label Requirement for AI Artwork
Starting today, deviations created using AI tools will need to be labeled as "Created using AI tools." Additionally, improvements are being made to browse settings, allowing deviants to more precisely control how much AI art they experience while browsing.
Labeling Your Artwork
UPDATE (July 19, 2023): Starting today, this label will be automatically applied if an image’s metadata indicates that it was created with AI. This metadata is embedded in images generated by most major AI tools.
When submitting artwork, you will now see a required setting on the submit page to indicate whether or not your work was created using AI tools. This setting will be remembered when you submit, so it shouldn’t regularly impact your submission flow.
Once submitted, a label stating “Created using AI tools” will appear on the deviation. This addition was a popular community request and allows all deviants to better identify works they want to engage with.
