Old brickyard by Wanderlouve Old brickyard by Wanderlouve
Long lond time ago this great big building served people as a brickyard. Years later, after couple bad things like bankruptcy and flood, ruins were left here and stand still. It's hard to believe, but in 2005, well, people still lived there, and it looked then only a little better than now... There were fields for cultivation all over the building, full of corn, wheat and rye. And than another bad thing happened - the big fire. Now everything is under Nature control - trees are growing inside the buiding, fields no more exists, everything is rotting and decays. But the sun still shines beautifully above the ruins. Wrocław, Poland.

Pięknie promyki się rozchodzą :) Zupełnie jakby przyciągnęły Cię w to miejsce, by opowiedzieć historię opuszczonego i zapomnianego budynku :)

The atmosphere of such places can be intense and profound, and together with that glowingly warm sun, it contrasts very impressively indeed. You've captured it all.

Have a lovely day there, and all the best always!^^

Thank You for your encouraging words, as always. :) I really like to explore places that nature decides to take back. It is a really amazing experience, have this knowledge that couple years ago old man sat there near the TV while his grandson running around the building with ball, and now it is all gone and the tree took the old mans place, and the bushes took the playground... Lots of love!

I can now well-imagine your thoughts about this place, with (still) fresh memories of that scene from a couple of years ago...how true the adage is, that "Time is the most valuable thing we can spend" and I believe the man and his grandson spent their time happily. :)

My mother's old home town has a couple of huge (old) sugar beet factories that shut-down 10 years ago, and now nature has returned tree-by-tree, flower-by-flower - I agree, it is fascinating!

Love and best wishes from east England~~
