I'm a self-taught artist/illustrator that works in multiple mediums including graphite and coloured pencil, acrylic and oil paints, and sometimes digital. My primary focus is the natural world, and the vast majority of my work depicts organisms, extant or extinct, although I have also been dabbling in landscape pieces recently.
I have a BA in Ancient and Medieval History with a minor in Latin and later received my MSc in Systematics and Evolution, during which I surveyed Cretaceous fossil birds of Alberta, Canada. I am currently a PhD candidate working on the genus Prognathodon, a robustly-built and often large-bodied group of mosasaurs. I'm currently in the fortunate position to have access to modern and fossil specimens that serve as informative references in my artwork, particularly fossil reconstructions.
I will be working on a new official website in the future, and hopefully taking commissions as I near the end of my program!
