The He-Man Birthday Cake

My wife [link] made our son's cake out of my old He-Man cake pan from when I was a little boy. Instead of the icing recommended from the instructions, she used fondant and made some sugar paint. It was my idea to use coconut for the hair.

If you think it looks runny here, it got worse as the party progressed. He-Man's weapons melted and began to pool on that Wolverine placemat we were using to serve it. After everyone sang happy birthday, my boy extended his arms and guarded his cake when some of the other kids jumped up ready to have a piece. Regardless, I think he still enjoyed his He-Man birthday party.
