If You Left it all Behind by wagn18 If You Left it all Behind by wagn18
Attempting to work on my portrait photography a little bit.

My Brother in Law Ian. Here's his gallery [link]

I'll probably upload the color version as well, but I really liked the intensity of the black and white with a higher contrast.

Camera: Nikon D3100

Very nice photo, very expressive, and great composition. The bw version is better in my opinion, there's much more emotion than in the color version.

Much better than most the portraits I see here. The composition is good and it has some depth. The title is also suggestive and appropriate. The hood works, and the shot has some originality.

Thank you! I really love this one as well.

It's funny, the guy in the photo is the goofiest, least intense person I know, but he really pulled it together for this photo.

I think your right about the B&W photo. it shows way more emotion then a color one would.

Great composition and great use of bw. I'm only guessing, but the color version might prove to be distractive. I'll keep this version. Great work Dude!

Thank you. Yeah the color one is nice, but I think the BW is more striking.

It tends to work better on portraits. It makes the viewer concentrate on the subject and not in the environment surrounding him/ her.
