Mission
We inspire and equip people to make the world a more creative place.

Company Overview
At Wacom, our aim is to make technology more human, more natural, and more intuitive. We strive to create solutions that help people harness and execute new ideas.

Our Business
We create harmony between people and technology. As the world’s leading manufacturer of pen tablets, interactive pen displays and digital interface solutions, Wacom brings people and technology closer together through our natural, intuitive interface technologies.

For Creative People
We provide tools and instruments that let people express their creativity as fluently in the digital world as they would with ink on paper, paint on canvas, light in a darkroom or editing suite. Our enthusiasm for creativity overflows from the professional sphere to provide the tools and inspiration for anyone on their creativity journey, whether just starting out or well on the way. Together we celebrate and explore the human spirit of creativity and what that can achieve in the world around us.

For The World in General
We are all using technology to do more and more. And enjoying being able to interact with devices in new and creative ways. We provide the tools that make it simpler, easier and more intuitive for anyone to use sophisticated technology, whatever they want to do with it.

Wacom Contests Open in the Wacom Community

Journal Entry: Fri Mar 26, 2010, 9:42 AM
For March/April, Wacom has launched two new creative contests in the Wacom Community community.wacom.com

1.
EARTH DAY DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION CONTEST

In addition to activities planned here at Wacom, we wanted to do something special to celebrate Earth Day this year.  So we've decided to launch a contest that gives you the chance to pull out your tablet, flip on your computer, and create a meaningful and spectacular design around the "Earth Day" theme.

2.
LEAVE A TIP

You may not think you have a valuable tip, but if you're working regularly with a Wacom tablet, you probably do.

No doubt, you've played around with the Control Panel... set up some custom settings... even programmed the Radial Dial?  If so, then we want to hear all about your tips and tricks.  And, just think, they'll live in the Community to help other users out.

Okay look. Idk if you guys are dead or not, but I'very tried emailing you about a problem I'm having and I have yet to get a reply back to you. I purchased the Intuos Draw small tablet a while ago but the transaction was rejected, yet I still had money taken OUT of my bank account. Can you tell me why that is and if I could get my money BACK?

I understand you have fairly generous warranty periods (2 years) and return policies (2weeks).  But after the two years have expired what are the options? As a digital artist we depend on these products for income.

This also does not address the fact that the USB ports as designed are not durable and need to be redesigned. I understand that it is cheaper to replace rather than redesign, but this is not how a responsible manufacturer acts.

The main problem is as designed the USB port has no mechanical connection to the assembly. It is only soldered in place.  Instead it should be a “High Rel” connector to ensure reliability with constant use.  The use of solder only is below IPC PCBA standards (International Printed Circuit Board Assembly Workmanship Standards).

If it was a car, there would be a recall.  And these tablets, while sporting many great features, are too expensive to take a chance on.

I am a Wacom fan.  I just want to be able to trust the tools I invest in to make a living. How do you respond to the manufacturing issues?

Thank you

Wacom:

I understand your frustration. All our Intuos models come with a 2 year warranty so if a problem with the USB port occurs it is covered by warranty and Wacom will repair it. Additionally, if the tablet was bought directly from the Wacom eStore and the tablet becomes faulty within two weeks of purchase, Wacom will replace the unit.

My Response:

Thank you so much for the response.  I’ve been trying for over a week to have someone address my concerns.

Also thank you for outlining your warranty and return policies.  But after the two years have expired what are the options? As a digital artist we depend on these products for income.
