Welcome to the Family

You probably noticed my affection for the fire type starters. So Fennekin was a sure thing anyway, even if it wasn't so freakin' adorable!

Spyro, Typhlosion, Flamez, Dodger, and Flamez get together to welcome their newest member, a Fennekin tentatively named Kidd! I played around with Todd, referencing Fox and the Hound, but then wanted to get away from references if I could. So I started thinking about how foxes were supposed to be clever and tricky. That got me saying, "Trix are for kids!" Which is where Kidd came from, so it's still a reference . . .

Spyro and Fennekin came out very good, but everyone else . . . yeah . . . I kinda didn't position them well. I was stubborn while drawing Dodger and didn't want to start him over. But he ended up horrible so I wish I would have erased him. He was better in pencil . . . And Typhlosion looks so small . . .

But it was fun to color. I did it while streaming and watching Mewtwo Strikes Back. Yay!

Now I better get to work on my NOCT entry . . .
