The Moribayassa is a very old dance performed by women celebrating the dissipation of bad luck or terrible circumstances, the shedding of old trials, and a turn towards the good. The river and water are a major feature in the dance and represent the cleansing away of old problems to make way for new hopes.
took me forever but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out! lots of artistic license haha.
Inspired by garments and jewelry from many West African cultures, such as the Wodaabe, Afar, Maasai, and Pokot peoples.

She reminds me people of the tribe of Korra from the Legend of Korra (brown skin, blue eyes and powers related to water). I wonder if they got their inspiration from this dance.
