Censorship has always been an issue of concern for me. Sometimes censorship plays a well role in keeping the innocent from rusty and harm full topics, and other times it keeps the majority of people from the truth. There is a truly fine line between censorship and wether it is good or bad is something you have to personally decide depending in the situation you are in. However, one must never fear from speaking up.

I hate self-advertisement but that is exactly where i am going with the mute series. Any type of censorship, wether its on a personal level, or national or even international. Because, the ones in power would like for us to think the way they would like us to think. I thank you once more for a compliment of sorts, and for taking interest. Good luck with your debate, Hannah. I hope you will fill me in on the out come. :D

In my opinion censorship defeated itself from day one. People aren't going to stray away from something just because it's banned, partially or fully. To me, anything censored is the forbidden fruit of society which most people will more than happily take a piece of.

I see the point that you are making, however; the sad fact of the matter is that the majority people are going to abide by any newly passed rule without questioning the authority or said logic behind it. Politicians in this day in age use anything ranging from fear to corruption in order to get the desired rule / law. I don't wanna discuss any further here as i do not mean to offend any one's views or belief, but if you note me, we can discuss this further. But, what i am essentially getting at is that the type of people who rebel are less in number, and there is no one to keep the people with power in check. No one is asking questions, no matter how educated we get, most just don't have enough energy to fight and just assimilate in to the system.

Interesting point made, and no offence taken =P
From what you've just said it sounds like we're heading into 1984-esque territory the way censorship seems to strengthen...

Hahaha orwell was a genius at what he foresaw of the fate of our human society. I suppose his theories are very much coinciding with that of Darwin's and survival of the fittest. The Man (specific) to race who survives proceeds and that idea has been long awaited to see who comes out at the top. Using technology to better mankind has certainly slowed down the progression of this event, but what orwell was saying is that it is inevitable.

Indeed, let's hope it's in a world many years from now.
Still, countries like North Korea are experiencing it today...

Yeah i think north korea has their self view to be a lot more important than it is, just hope that they don't fuck things up for themselves in their ego trip.

Too right there, in a way they already have in some sense. I'm quite surprised that no western country has sent in a spy of sorts to eliminate any threats there.

Well, China wouldn't like that. And considering the chinese are our bank at the moment.

I think you are spot on. Sometimes the truth hurts, I would rather hear a hurtful truth, then a senseless lie. Great photo :)
