Resignation

Sat Feb 11, 2012, 8:34 PM
Well, as of 2-1-12 I am officially resigned from the railroad. Eventhough I did put in the resignation 11-11-11. Yeah, thats a little weird, but I'm used to weird in my life. Though I'll never miss that $#itty @$$ lifestyle of the railroader, the guys I worked with will always be missed. They made that job more than bearable, for the last nine yrs, but it was time for me to go, and move on to greener pastures. That would be, Booyah. The company that opened my coffin lid. Booyah recently released some IOS games. "MyTown2": a fun location based city builder, its a good bit of fun, and might I add, free. Also, "Pet town": in which I had a small part in helping that title. Its your nontypical funny pet game, which is also free, and if you have an IOS device, I sugggest you check it out, and if you like it well, feel free to spread the word. Also, if you like pysics based games and even if you dont, "Earlybird" is friggin awesome. I suggest you try it.

R.I.P. Dad - Ken Strang

Tue Jan 12, 2010, 6:39 PM
Buried my father today, right next to my mom. Sucks, but what can ya do. I bring this to your attention cause my father was an awesome artist, and like me, failed to get anywhere in it, so he was never widely acknowledged for it. So to memorialize him and his art, I plan to make a DA account with any paintings and or sketchbooks I can find. He was a great man and a great father, and I will really miss him, he was my buddy. Rest in Peace, Dad. You certainly have it now.

Street Fighter Comic this Wednesday

Tue Dec 15, 2009, 10:08 AM
Taken from Matt Moylans Journal :iconmattmoylan:

"Hi guys!

This Wednesday Dec 16th sees the release of Street Fighter II Turbo #10, the latest exciting chapter of UDON's Street Fighter comic series. What's special abotu this issue for me though is that that it features a backup story written by yours truly! I have had a few chances to write some stories before (one published only in Japan so far, and one that was a pack-in for the Street Fighter IV game), and I've worked as editor on dozens of comics and books, but this is my first writing credit in a regular comic that shows up on comic shop shelves. Pretty cool!

The story is the a fun little thing about the mysterious Street Fighter character Q, and is drawn by the awesome Bob Strang. And of course there's the main story by the kick-ass regular team of Ken Siu-Chong and Chamba.

Anyone who wants to support one of their favorite web comic artists, please pick up the SF II Turbo #10 this Wednesday!

Covers & preview art are right here! www.udonentertainment.com/blog… "

Side note, its my first contracted comic job, just like its Matts first regular comic writing credit so thats pretty cool.

Also, commission my good friend Tim Kelly :icontimkelly:. I dont want to have to eat your soul.

(Taken from grimbros journal) Lux Interior, lead singer of The Cramps, passed away this morning (the 4th) due to an existing heart condition at Glendale Memorial Hospital in Glendale, California at 4:30 AM PST today. I know for many artists that create horror the Cramps provide a great background soundtrack. If you have not listened to the Cramps do yourself a favor and go get some.

R.I.P. Carlos Meglia

Fri Aug 15, 2008, 12:40 PM
Great legendary artist, Carlos Meglia passed on yesterday. I personally discovered his work not too long ago, but it is evident that his unique style paved way for other artists in the comic industry that aren't your common typical norm "comic style" artissts, like myself and many others. Man, heres to you Carlos, your work is so inspiring, and thats a candle that'll never go out my friend. Rest in peace.
