- Use the gym: Exercise boosts your immune system, and gives you a weird increase in energy in all parts of your life. At the very least, get outside and go for a 20 minute run or 40 minute walk every two days.
- Eat well: Fresh fruit and vegetables are considerably cheaper than meat and processed foods, and taste far better. Cutting down on sugar, sauces, and salt will also help you feel better.
- Write/paint/work every day: You have a passion. Whatever that passion is, as long as it is productive or beneficial to you in some healthy way, seize it and work at it every single day. Few people really embrace their passion. It is safe to do it half-heartedly. At least then, if it fails, no one notices. But that won't ever help you become good enough to be noticed. So go for it.
- Wake up: Set your alarm for the same time every day. Do this for a full month, and it will become habit. If you do need to sleep in, try to do so for only half an hour. Usually getting up will dispel any notion of collapsing back into bed.
These tips are not a guarantee of success. They won't make you a million dollars. But they do set the disciplined foundation to improve the rest of your life. Once you have practiced these for a month or two, start writing goals focused on your passion and direction in life.
