This is a really nice retro D&D piece. One thing I'm wondering whether is was intentional or not was the decision to make the Black cave border the shape of a sharp toothed mouth or whether that's just something I saw from looking too much into it.

One of my favorite monsters. I still place shriekers in dungeons now and then. I even have one player who's character decided to grow her own. What a cool idea to go back to this old art. Awesome.

Yep. Magical varities of mushrooms are greedily sought after by PCs in my game. They have been the object of entire quests. Growing mushroom species is a special art that requires great care and talent (they are extremely sensitive and the magic can easily be ruined).
