LEGO Koopa Shell Tutorial

Large spiky Koopa shells, as seen in the various Super Mario games, naturally — and personally used as the basis of the shell for my large Ludwig “Kooky” von Koopa LEGO sculpture! Here are some color variants built by me and taken recently with my Sony camera and light tent.

Please note: the first two sets -- the ones with the black backgrounds are not virtual. Those are in fact three real LEGO shells I built, but took with my new light tent and CFL bulbs which made 'em look smooth and "CGI" looking. The ones below in the tutorial, however are virtual; they were created with Ldraw software, and the parts list was generated thanks to Peeron.
