Gold NES

Is there a category on deviantART about modified classic gaming consoles? If there isn't, I'd like to humbly request the creation of one!
I'm an Old-school Gamer. I had an Atari 2600 when I was a little kid. Around 1986, for my birthday, I requested and received a Nintendo Entertainment System. (my parents made me give away my 2600 to my cousins, with all my kick-ass games! Combat! I miss you!) I loved that system, and amassed a bunch of great games. Eventually I bought a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (oh, and my brother got an original Game Boy at the time), and my parents made me give away my NES to some other cousins (I kept the best, games, though!). So, yes, I'm a Nintendo fan boy.
I went on to own (and still own) a Nintendo 64, Game Cube, Wii, DS, DS Lite, and even a Virtual Boy, and a Super Famicom. (oh, yeah, and I also have a Power Glove!) (and a 95% complete run of Nintendo Power)
Eventually I got nostalgic for the good-ol' NES so my mother bought me a complete NES with Zapper. Bliss!
Back to this deviant, though. I love the, sites, and Hackosis. So I got the mod'ing bug; that is, modifying things. I found an NES at the local thrift store (kids, it's not just for geeky/trendy/hipster/ironic clothes shopping anymore!) for around $5. It was rather grimy, but I gave it a good home.
I cleaned it up in preparation for a new paint job. The result is my gold and copper Nintendo Entertainment System! The photo here is three views of the same system, all seamlessly photo manip'ed through the magic of the PhotoShops.
It was a fun project, and the system works great!

looks more like its made out of wood. but gold or wood, either way, awesome. they should make more wooden game consoles.
